Silhouettes.

"The way that the sun makes your silhouette and the chances that I had to make you smile. They aren't coming around."-  Stephen Jerzak. These are images I photographed in the streets on Wimborne Minster, Dorset, UK. These images are of general things you would find in an Urban Area, such as Roof Tops, Chimneys, Sign Posts, and Street Lamps! I enjoyed capturing these aspects as I think that they are things you can identify easily, even without and details or colours being shown! as well as conveying the simplicity of these everyday things!  S I L H O U E T T E: Cast or show (someone or something) as a dark shape and outline against a brighter background, meaning anything in front of the sun, becomes a dark shape and blocks out any colours or details.  (Feel Free to click on the pictures to view them better!) In these pictures, you can also see a church, which has beautiful architecture, unfortunately, you can't see here, but is around 1300 years old!

Details In An Urban Area.

For a project in AS Level Photography, we were asked to go out and capture details in an Urban Environment, such as graffiti on a wall or blades of grass growing outside of a shop or the paint slowly peeling off of a brick wall, down a long alleyway. So, I took to the town of Bournemouth, UK,  to capture some of these details, that we seem to miss in our everyday lives.
